Marie Konstance has a career driving analytical efforts in both the private and public sector and has a deep commitment to diversity and reducing income inequality. She established and manages the Gender and Diversity KPI Alliance (GDKA), an effort funded and co-chaired by Catalyst, which promotes the adoption of three key performance indicators to measure gender and diversity. You can’t manage what you don’t measure and the GDKA believes all companies should measure representation and pay in their talent pipeline. Launched in September 2020, the GDKA has over 70 corporate members and provides a community that shares best practices.
Marie has deep experience in measurement from her long tenure on Wall Street. Prior to her work with Catalyst, Marie built and managed the largest equity trading cost analysis business, TCA, at the Investment Technology Group. This experience demonstrated the power of measurement, as the SEC’s mandate to measure implicit and explicit costs resulted in a 40% decline in trading costs over 10 years. Marie is a recognized authority on equity trading who has built and managed analytical units at Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Bloomberg. She serves on the boards of two nonprofits that offer educational opportunities to underserved communities, Helene Fuld College of Nursing and Grace Outreach, and has undertaken pro bono consulting for several nonprofits.
Marie received her Master’s in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School and received her BA in economics from Colgate University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a certification in nonprofit management and fundraising from NYU. In her free time, Marie loves bicycling, skiing, travel and reading.
