BBC Presenter at the Palace

June Sarpong's OBE honor

Many congratulations to June Sarpong, who has been awarded an OBE.

One of the most well-known faces on television, she is the BBC’s first Director of Creative Diversity and author of ‘Diversify’ and ‘Power of Women’ (both Harper Collins).

She is described as “the only host of her generation who is equally comfortable interviewing politicians, celebrities and members of the public.” Her CV is incredibly impressive.

June hosted Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday celebrations in front of 30,000 people in London’s Hyde Park alongside Will Smith in 2008; the Make Poverty History event in 2005; and the UK leg of Live Earth in 2007.

She is the Co-Founder of the Women:Inspiration & Enterprise, a women’s leadership network and empowerment conference. WIE has featured leading speakers including Sarah Brown, Melinda Gates, Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan, Queen Rania, Nancy Pelosi, Iman and many more.

Your latest honour is well-deserved, June!
